Faculty Staff Resource Center Training Opportunities

The UCC Faculty Staff Resource Center is pleased to offer a variety of training opportunities, including Blackboard training, Microsoft E-Learning and WebSTAR courses.

Microsoft E-Learning

As part of a new offering from Microsoft, UNO Faculty, Staff and Students are eligible to access E-Learning courses online at Microsoft.com. These courses are meant to help you keep up-to-date with the latest major E-Learning – Applications software releases. At present more than 30 courses are offered covering everything from an Introduction to Microsoft Office to advanced Web page techniques. Each course offers high-quality Web browser-based training and easy access to the information you need when you need it. For access information, click on the link below or contact fsrc@uno.edu.

Blackboard Workshops:

Blackboard Certification Series: The UNO Faculty Staff Resource Center offers a series of workshops leading to UNO Blackboard Certification. This certification will indicate a mastery level of Blackboard proficiency. Blackboard Inc. does not offer an official certification; this program is to recognize those UNO faculty who have completed a series of UNO Blackboard workshops. Candidates attend a series of six, two-hour workshops, scheduled throughout the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. It is recommended that participant attend the designated workshops within the course of one calendar year, and will receive a certificate of certification upon successful completion of the series. The FSRC offers 18 computers: 16 PC and 2 Macintosh. Also available are a scanner, 3 CD burners, a DVD burner, 1 black-and-white laser printer and 1 color inkjet printer. Click here for a complete list of hardware and software available in the FSRC.
